Our Mission

Uniquely dedicated to the understanding and support of all brain tumor patients, their families and friends.

Overview

The Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition is a unique nonprofit organization run by brain tumor patients and families who truly understand the difficulties brain tumors can cause. Our overall mission is to be a resource that provides understanding, hope, and possibility.

Founded in 2001, we started as a Support Group, offering education, friendship and support to brain tumor patients and their families. Starting with just 12 members, our Support Group has grown to over 400 members, making us one of the largest support groups in the country!

As the Support Group grew, we realized that we needed to offer more services, and the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition was founded in 2003 as a 501c3 nonprofit group. We began raising money through our annual Journey of Hope.

The money raised is entirely used to assist patients with medical bills related to their brain tumor treatment. The application for assistance is unique, simple and respectful. Contact David Bond for more information on financial assistance.

Located in Appleton, WI, we offer our services to Fox Valley residents, as well as those in surrounding areas. We have members from as far out as Oconto Falls, Door County, Manitowoc, Fond du lac, Waupaca, Berlin, etc. We try to help everyone, so if you live within an hour of the Valley, just give us a call to see what we can do! Our services are available to brain tumor patients regardless of who their doctor may be.
