We Are

The Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition is a unique non-profit organization run by brain tumor patients and their families who truly understand the difficulties brain tumors can cause. Our overall mission is to be a resource that provides understanding, hope and possibility.

Unlike many non-profit organizations, the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition has no paid employees. All monies received from donations and fundraisers go entirely towards the treatment and care of those who need it most.

Fox Valley Brain Tumor dollars are available to assist brain tumor patients and families with the cost of treatment, including imaging studies, radiation and prescribed medications.

While treating brain tumors is important, so is the search for a cure. The Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition strives to keep abreast of the newest and latest treatment options and research, financially supporting these efforts.

Give

Funding is provided by the generous donations received from foundations, corporations and individuals. Brain tumors are not selective and therefore each of us is susceptible.

We hope that you feel compelled to financially support the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition, either by making a one-time contribution or by being an annual benefactor, or becoming a sponsor which, in turn, provides you or your company with substantial recognition of your support.

If you are a corporate sponsor or benefactor and would like a representative of the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition to meet directly with you, or present to a board or committee, please contact us.

More

The individuals who see to the day-to-day work of the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition, are themselves touched by the effects of a brain tumor and fully understand the physical, medical and financial implications of a brain tumor diagnosis. As human beings, they realize the emotional toll the diagnosis of a brain tumor can have on a patient and his/her family as well.

That is why one of the most important services that the Coalition offers its patients, family and friends is the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Support Group.

Founded in 2001, this group exists for one purpose; to provide much needed support to those afflicted and to those who love them.

While brain tumors account for just 1% of all cancers, the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Support Group is one of the largest in the country. With over 400 members, participants look forward to, and enjoy the regularly scheduled monthly meetings. Attendees share their experiences, concerns, fears, anxiety, joys and sorrows in a safe environment with others who can relate first-hand to what they are feeling.

Guest speakers are routinely invited to speak to the group on pertinent issues such as new treatment options, research, support services, etc.

The support group is open to all brain tumor patients, family and friends, regardless of tumor type, physician affiliation and/or insurance. There is no cost to you to join the group.

Meetings take place the third Thursday of every month from 6-8 pm.
