The Grey Matters Zubathon to support FVBTC on May 5th was a huge success! Lillian Halverson, event coordinator provided the following information.
It was a very successful event on Friday. I had to close down ticket sales on line the night before and post that we could not take walk ins as we were at capacity. We had about 80 to 85 people in attendance and about 15 instructors, the room was packed and very energized. There is talk that we may move it next year to a bigger venue however, Crunch plans on paying for the space so it will still be sponsored by them. Although I am holding on that we have it at their facility one more year before we move it.
Just for the event alone we raised $1,775.00, I have gotten word that there might be some close to match donations that are getting mailed out too, so I am not 100% sure what the final total will be.
So very excited to be able to present this amount of money raised to help out not only my mom, but all the other wonderful families having to deal with this diagnoses. Feeling so very blessed and humbled by all the people that turned out and supported this event and the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition and honored to be able to be a part of such a great group.
